Meet Trooper April Roberts and Trooper Daniel Gilmore. They recently responded to a call for an unconscious and unresponsive four-year-old victim of a drowning. The Troopes arrived on scene and immediately started CPR, assisted by a Town of New Paltz Police Officer and two off-duty nurses. Trooper Roberts took her Division-issued AED from her troop car, which advised to administer shocks and directly led to the recovery of an active pulse. The child was transported by New Paltz Rescue and transported to Health Alliance Hospital for advanced medical treatment. The child is expected to be okay. A great job by...
